Seattle Condo Investing
Only a limited number of Seattle condominium buildings permit short-term rentals such as Airbnb or VRBO. Even within those buildings, minimum stays, registration requirements, screening procedures, move fees, and association rules can vary significantly.
Association permission and City of Seattle licensing are two separate requirements. Seattle defines a short-term rental as lodging for 29 consecutive nights or fewer, and an owner must comply with applicable City licensing and regulations even where the association permits short-term rentals. Buyers should verify both before purchasing a property intended for short-term rental use.
STR-Permitted Buildings
These buildings are reported as permitting short-term rentals by current public short-term-rental sources. Fees, minimum stays and screening requirements shown here are publicly reported values, not association governing-document terms. Confirm current amounts and rules with the association before relying on them. Building permission does not replace City licensing requirements.

Due Diligence
Short-term rental ownership requires more due diligence than simply finding a building without a rental cap.
