Beacon Hill
Beacon Hill runs along a ridge from north of the I-90 interchange to the Columbia City area, with commanding views of downtown Seattle to the northwest and Mount Rainier to the southeast. The neighborhood is one of the most ethnically diverse in Seattle, with a long history as a middle-class residential area that has maintained that character while the surrounding city has changed.
Jefferson Park, at the northern end of the ridge, offers golf, playfields, and a community center. The views from the ridge are among the most underappreciated in the city; residents have the downtown skyline on one side and the Cascades on the other.
