The Neighborhood

Queen Anne

Queen Anne sits immediately north of Downtown Seattle and is one of the city's most recognizable residential neighborhoods. The hill rises steeply from Seattle Center to a plateau of tree-lined streets, historic Craftsman homes, and the commercial village along Queen Anne Avenue.

The neighborhood is visually defined by its elevation. Kerry Park's view of the Seattle skyline, Elliott Bay, and Mount Rainier is one of the most photographed perspectives in the city. That same hilltop position means many residences have city, water, or mountain views, and that walkability can vary dramatically depending on which side of the hill you are on.

Real Estate

Real Estate in Queen Anne

Queen Anne's residential market is unusually diverse for a neighborhood this close to Downtown. Upper Queen Anne contains substantial single-family inventory, including Craftsman and Tudor homes on established streets. The slopes and Lower Queen Anne/Uptown areas include condominiums, townhomes, and apartments.

For single-family buyers, lot position, view, renovation quality, and street character drive meaningful differences in value. For condominium buyers, building age, HOA health, parking, and view orientation deserve the same careful review as in Downtown Seattle.
